Look Who's Cruising

So again we went to Carson's 1st year check up and again there was SOMETHING they thought he should be doing that he was not doing yet. What would that be? Cruising!! So here it is 7 weeks later.

Love you little man. You do things in your own time and in your own way.

Carson's First Haircut

We have loved Carson's amazing curls, unfortunately they have only grown on the sides/back of his head. Seeing as it is his first birthday on sunday(crazy) i thought it was time to cut his hair. Now some of my friends and my Mother suggested that i cut his hair myself  which i have never done before. They told me there is no better time to learn, seeing as he can't blame me for anything at this age. So i thought about this idea for less then half a second and then made an appointment with my hair dresser. I have many skills as a mother making things from scratch such as decorations, Halloween Costumes, Christmas presents, FOOD, i don't how ever have the patience or the confidence to cut my children's hair. Therefore I will love my hairdresser and respect the education and talent she has to share with the me.
So I took this little wiggle worm to the hair dresser and i held him(tried anyway) while she patiently moved around his wiggling little head taking small snips when she could. The rest of the hairdressers watched and told him how handsome and darling he was. He ate it up!

Here is Carson trying to face the camera while Blake and i attempted to get a picture at the back oh his head. He is so smart he knows that mommy wants to see his smiling face when she pulls out the camera. I mean what else in this vast world could she possible want a picture of.

Oh cute curls.

Carson getting ready for his hair cut the whole place just died when we set him in the chair by himself with the cover on  he was sooo cute.

After we were done he could not believe how different and grown up he looked.

What a handsome little guy you are Carson.

He liked it too.

Thank you Katie for putting up with this wiggly little man and doing such a great job on his hair. You have a wonderful talent.

31 August, 2012

When you look at Carson you never remember that he was born 6 weeks early, with all that chunk you just forget. But as we have taken him to his check ups they go through the list
Does he roll over?
Does he sit up by himself?
Does he pull into a stand?
on and on and my answer to the questions is always a sheepish no.
then the doctor replies "Well he was born early so lets give him a month and see if he does more."
so i take him home and we play and wait and he always grows and improves and learns new things.
This month our Little Man Carson, turned 11 months old and has started doing 2 new things that we are so proud of

We are so proud of you Carson, and love you so much.
Thanks for filling our life with joy.

Parties to Parks and everything in between.

I am WAY behind in my blog/journal, so I am going to say just a little bit about each topic and post pictures. It’s the pictures we want anyway right!

Graduation party
Before we left Cedar city Blake’s parents threw him a graduation party. Grandma Sharon, Jim, Jackie, Zach, Tanille, Cathy and Richard were all in attendance along with Blake, Carson and myself. The hit of the night was Blake getting his brand new barbeque grill!!!! Okay he got a picture of it and a Home Depot gift card. It is now sitting on our back porch where it gets used often.
Here is Carson at the party

Moving Salem
We are back in Oregon!! We have learned to really enjoy Oregon and the people here they are so great. We had so many friends help us move our stuff from the storage bay to the uhaul truck. And then approx 10 guys form the ward here showed up to help us move everything into the apartment. The Relief society even brought in a meal the next day so I would not have to cook while trying to unpack. Thanks everyone. We like our little apartment the front room is spacious and the bedrooms are perfect the kitchen on the other hand is a nightmare. No counter space and no cupboards.

Here are some pictures in our new home

We are glad to announce all the boxes have been unpacked or stored. I hate living with boxes.

Mother’s Day:
For mother’s day after church we packed a picnic lunch I had made the day before and went just up the road to Silver creek Falls, and where able to hike around the lower fall. It was a very busy place that day and we plan to go back on a day that is not so crowded and visit some of the other 10 waterfalls that we did not get to see. It was a very nice outing and such a beautiful day.

You get to hike behind it, it was wonderful

Graduation
Well Blake did it he Graduated from pharmacy school, YEAH!!!! We are so excited and had a good time at graduation and celebrating just the three of us. What is next for Dr. Francisco? He has to pass his board exams. After that maybe we will get a week with no studying. Lol

Wearing our alumni shirt

8 Months old
Our little boy is 8 months old now, I can hardly believe it. He plays more and more and eats lots and lots. He has decided that naps are for babies and he is a big boy. So he screams bloody murder when it is nap time. He says momma when he is in utter distress (stuck on his tummy in a different room or anywhere he can’t see mom), loves to eat anything and everything except chicken, and loves to play with his new truck that he got from a friend, especially if daddy will play too.
He is a big boy he weighs approx 21lbs and is around 29.5in tall. I bought him a couple 18month rompers the other day and they fit him great. Lol

All the little buttons make noise or do something when played with.

He puts in his own binky

He does not crawl or roll yet but he is figuring out how to get what he wants by sliding around, and yelling.

Park
We found this fun little park that is only half a mile away from the apartment

Well we are having fun and enjoying the adventure of being graduates and parents.
Hopefully I will post sooner next time.

Photo shoot

Well not a whole lot has been happening. We are just enjoying our time hanging out in Utah.
Carson had a photo shoot so we needed to post them on the blog. He is way cute and such a chunk. Last night on Our Date Blake and I had to go to Walmart(Cedar needs a Target) and get Carson some new clothes because he is now in size 12 months. We found this way cute shirt that says "I am Not Chunky, it is all Muscle" lol we had to get it.
Please enjoy the pictures.
